Hello all,

I transcribed the cemeteries in Hand County. There is a cemetery in Alden township that only has 2 graves remaining in it. (the others were moved to other cemeteries by relatives).

One of the 2 graves has the following on the tombstone:
Corm, J. R. 1874 to 1887

I thought I'd post it just in case someone is looking for him. Those 2 graves in the middle of the cowyard (land owner says they are planning on fencing it in) seemed so lonely. :(

The other grave is for Jeanetta Nibbelink b 3-14-1908 d. 10-20-1908

The name elijah is in my line of croms. I'll have to let and see how. I'm doing my Crom family tree and have found that name. Was your husband name after a Daniel. I have a Daniel that was a gggreat cousin or uncle. I don't have the info with me but I know that much.

Known to be farming in Wood Co. Ohio in 1870, with two young children, Frank & Emma; & in California in 1920. They were located in these two USC's only. --- Mary A. Crom, spouse of J.D. was my grandfather's [Jesse Phillips] Sister . . . if we're correct - all we had to go on was one line in Jesse's short obituary. Any info on this family, or either's parental family much desired. Dead ends in Genealogy haint much fun! Thanx for ANY hints!

Albert F. (Butch) Crom obituary

Albert F. "Butch" Crom 61 of Philo, Ohio died at 11:24 am January 04 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in the er.

Born May 2, 1942 in Zanesville, Ohio, he was employed at OK coal adn concrete. An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Crom was a loving person and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, Donald and Hazel Dunn Wagner of Zanesville; sons Ronnie (Shanda) Crom of Philo, Donnie(Sandy) Crom of Chandlersville, and Lonnie(Serena) Crom of Duncan Falls; daughter Abby Hollingshead of the home; sister Tammy(ruth) Lynn of Zanesville; a special friend Jackie Hollingshead of the home; eight grandchildren and a great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father Albert S. Crom and brothers Donald and Mick Wagner.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. Wedneday, January 7, 2004, at Delong-Baker adn Lanning funeral home, 56 s. fifth Street.
No services will be held.

thank you so much for your information. I had seen you had spoke with my Uncle John. A coulple years ago he said he was tracing back our family tree. I didn't think it would be too hard since Crom is pretty uncommon.

Cassius is my great grandfather, cass was Albert stanley's father. Albert stanley had Albert Crom with hazel wagner. Albert Crom is my father.

Beyond Cassius we have William Crum b.abt. july 14,1832 in Ohio.
He married Sarah Beach of Ohio b.1844 d.1930.
They are both buried in westbloom township in wood county ohio.
They had two kids, Cassius and a girl whom we cannot make out the name for sure, but it looks like Tenna.

I have census images and things if you need anymore info let me know.

Cassius Crom is my great-great grandfather. John wendel crom and verna m. balwen had edward crom. He married Nadine Miller who had John, Robert, and Daniel. Robert is my father. If you know any further than Cassius, let me know,

Sorry Pamela; Generation #1; I have 'Reverend' John Crom and wife Margaret Miller, ten children of which 'Reverend' Jacob Crom was the oldest. Generation #2; I have Jacob married Anna Overholser April 17, 1825 in N. Twp, Harrison Co., Ohio. They had 12 children of which Adelin is the tenth. From that point on Generation #3; I have a Martin Crom + Rebecca Overholser and their seven children, A Jeramiah Crom + Mariah Smith and their ten children. Adeline should have been in this generation. I only copied what an immediate family member of my wifes who did the research. Sorry Again, ED

Have a lot of information about Chance C. Crum. It is actually Cassius Chance Crum. His father was William Crum and mother was Sarah Beach. Unfortunately I have just a little information on William but I've traced his mother's family all the way back to the mid 1600's in Stratford, Connecticut. I have a picture of Forest, Albert and John, sons of Cassius.

I've been working with Orlen Bates on the Crum family and he has help considerably.

His name was spelled Crom in an obituary but research shows that it is spelled Crum in the cemetary records. Any information would be appreciated. Albert crom, frances crom, john crom, forest crom are some of the sons and daughters.
Chance C. Crum died in 1939 from apoplexy. Thank you

I am looking for info on Wlliam Crum and Sarah Beach Crum.
Both were born in Ohio. William july 14,1832 died July 4, 1884.
Sarah born 1844, died 1930.
Had 2 children Cashus and Tenna(could be Finnie, or Lennie census records hard to read)
Seems that Cashus' children or maybe even he, changed the spelling to Crom. Albert stanley, Eleanor, Forest, John,Bessie May,Gladus, most of them changed the spelling to Crom.
Any info on William and Sarah or any of the others would be appreciated. Have a lot of other info to share if anyone is connected to this tree. Just e mail me, thank you

Sorry it has taken me so long in answering. I was able to find Adeline Crom Henry and David Henry buried in the Atlanta Cemetery, near Friend, Saline Co., Nebraska.
David died March 15, 1915 and Adeline died February 3, 1934.

William H. Crom was born 16 Jun 1867 in Ohio. His father was John Crom. According to my Grandmother, William H. Crom was half Cherokee Indian. I find him in Missouri in 1900. I would appreciate any leads. E-mail me directly. Thank you
