Looking for African -American Cromarties
Hello,
My name is Kim and I am looking for relatives and history of my maternal grandmother. She is a Cromartie. She was born in Wilmington, NC but her father (Ralph) and older siblings and possibly her mother (Elizaberth) were born in Bladen or Bladenburg County or Council, NC. My grandmother and 2 other siblings of 12 (7 boys and 5 girls) children are the only older Cromarties from this union left. I am getting alot of information from my grandmother (Elosie), but I would like any other information. My grandmother also told me that her father had a brother who migrated to Florida. According to my grandmother, Cromarties was a common name, especially in the country. We have Cromartie family members buried near or with white Cromarties. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Peace!
