Thomas Cromartie 1768 NC
Chowan County, NC rootsweb has marriage bond listed for a Thomas Cromartie in 1768. He married Sarah Doud. Then in 1778, Sarah (?Doud?) Cromartie married Alexander Montgomery in Chowan County. At those times there was a William Cromartie in Bladen County, NC. I am descended from that Wm., the Orkney Emigrant. I've never heard the name Thomas Cromartie of that era in US. Anyone have any clues?
