Hi Phyllis I dont know if u remember me or not I'm Stacy I called you one day asking for help about a Ronald Cronkright. and how I'm related by connection of the Earegood family you sent me some info one day thank you.Ive still been working on my family tree, trying to find more relatives and I tried to talk to Dolly Cronkright about how I believe I might have been related to her husband I even made her some copies of my Earegood family tree that mentioned some of the Cronkrights and she said I didnt see any Joyce Thomas. The thing is its not Thomas she would look under it would be Earegood she would have to look under. Is there any way you could convince her to listen to me? She lives on the same rd. as me and she's in the phone book under cronkright(of course) and its under D. in clio, mi, on Montle Rd. Would you send her something telling her that you're a Cronkright.Another reason I'm so eager for her to listen is cause her daughter(Angel)was my very best friend we grew up together and even thou our friendly connection isnt as close as it used to be I still have a place for Angel in my heart there will always be I miss the connection of our friendship so much.please keep in touch at stacy.thomas81@yahoo.com

See I have these neighbors down the rd.from me and I believe were related but I cant get her to listen to me since her husband Ronald Cronkright died. I have a Earegood family tree album(my mom's side) and it has many Cronkrights in it and one of her boys said one of Cronkrights names I mentioned sound familiar. Will you please keep in touch with me at stacy.thomas81@yahoo.com

Cronkright--decended from one of 4 brothers from the Netherlands

I have seen quite a bit of information on Harck Syboutszen, Wyntje Theunis and their decendants on the message boards. Does anyone have information on Harck's three brothers? I believe their names were Sijbet Sijbetsen, Pieter Sijbetsen and Cornelis Sijbetsen. I have been told I am a decendant of one of three of these brothers that stayed in New Amsterdam. Unfortunately, I can only seem to go back to Joseph A Cronkright, born in New York in 1844. Thanks!

Joseph B. Cronkright

I have information on Joseph B. Cronkright, my great-grandfather, whose surname may often be spelled "Conkright". However, the surname "Conkwright" is incorrect in this branch of the family. Joseph B. was born around 1839, most likely in Indiana. His father was an unknown Cronkright. His mother is unknown, possibly a "Bradford", but there is no documentation or proof that a Cronkright/Bradford marriage took place and this is still being researched.
Joseph B. Cronkright married (Margaret) Elizabeth Sproat Johnson in 1872 in Ottowa Co., MI. Elizabeth was widowed and had two children, Charles and Adella. She and Joseph had three children: (Sarah) Mae Conkright Harris Dushane, Thomas Eric Conkright, and Orville Conkright, a baby who died at age 6 months. Thomas was my grandfather. Joseph was a Civil War Union veteran from the OH infantry and he died in 1883. He is buried at Lake Forest Cemetery in Grand Haven, MI. Please feel free to contact me if you have, or need, any other information. Please use the email: jenlou@wi.rr.com. My name is "Sharon" (Bob's mate).

Hello all! I haven't been researching for long, but I seem to have been doing very well, except for one line through my grandfather, the Cronkrights. I'm sure I'm not the only one that gets confused with all the name changes and family names. Can someone please help me sort them out? My line starts through Charles Cronkright, JR (?) and Catherine Starks. I've got some info from Jay Smith in CA, but everytime I feel that I'm getting somewhere, I find that I made a mistake somewhere else!
I would appreciate any help that you're willing to give!
Thanks!
Angi Wolverton

Hi Maeve,
I received an email from Glenda Hynes about and Israel Cronkright family. I couldn't find a connection with my family, but maybe your two can connect. Her email address is gthwmh@mediaone.net.
My family begins with Charles and Lydia (Snyder) Cronkright who came to Michigan from NY in 1837 and settled in Midland, Mi. His father's name may have been Gilbert, but so far we cannot connect to the NY families. Other families coming at the same time came from Mt. Morris, Livingston Co., NY. Charles had a sister, Mary (Polly) who married a Townsend. He also had a brother, Daniel. Both settled here in Midland, too. Do you have anything in your NY records for my family? Hope this info helps you. Thanks. Phyllis

My great-grandfather was Andrew Cronkwright b.@1875 Merritton, Ontario d. 1947
married Delia Meir b.@1879 - Trenton, Ontario d. 1939 - Tenton, Ontario
I am looking for anyone who may have him in their records. It is thought that Andrew's father or grandfather came from the Pennsylvania area during the American Revolutionary War.
My grandfather always said that our name was changed when our ancesters came to Canada but unfortunately no surviving immediate relative of mine knows exactly what the original name was.
Could be - Cronkright, Cronkrite, Kronkrite or Kronkheit???
I have approx. 85 names currently compiled of Andrew's descendants that I am willing to share privately.
