Hi does any one have information on a gggg grandfather henry cronkwright 1813 from york, usa. who married jane ward. My Grandfather was ernest cronkwright from Kelvin, Ontario who married susannah (suzie) may cronkwright (nee. peer), children of marriage where donald cronkwright and doris cronkwright. I will appreciate any information i can obtain for my family history tree record.

I have a marriage record and cencus with these people. Jacobs parents are Charles Henry b Sep 1843 USA and Mary Jane Coombs? 1843-1888. On the Brant 1911 Census it shows Charles now widowed with Jacob b. Sep 1884,and wife Mary b feb 1873 living with them along with their son Charlie b Jan 1900. Also listed as a boarder is Lucy Gillies b Mar 1886 probably mary's sister. I have a little more info if you want to email me at emailmarie@shaw.ca

Your Wright William b 1830 is married to Mary Woodcock. I have Cornelius Andrew Cronkwright b 24 Sep 1876 Hungerford, ON. d 1947 Trenton. I think the parents of William are Jacob and Elizabeth McGrath, and the parents of Mary to be Richard Woodcock and Elizabeth Oliver. I have recently requested the Birth & Marriage microfilms of my grandparents mentioned above from the Ontario Archives Centre via the Burlington Public Library and I will post their parents names & related BDM data results as they become available.

In closing off for now I will look forward to the posting of your research results regarding the Ashmun & Cronkwright family connections in the Oakville, Ontario this summer.

I have a GGGGGrandfather who was named Jacobus Kronkheit, form New York State. They moved to Lacolle, Quebec in about 1770. He was married to a Cordelia Baker, they had 9 children. A small part of the family stayed but the rest moved to Oakville, Ontario about 1800.John was Jacob's oldest son,b. 1769 in Dutchess Co. N.Y. James was the second oldest his family stayed in Southern Quebec. Katheine was the next she married a William Ashmun from Champlain, N.Y. She and her family eventually moved to Hamilton, Ont. There is not much more I can tell you at this time, but I am going to research the Oakville Family this summer.
