William Crook, Chester SC, early 1800's

Surnames: Crook, Steele
I am searching for any information on William Crook of Chester Co, SC. He would have been there in the early 1800's and married a Rebecca Steele.
According to a Goodspeed biography on their son James Crook, William and Rebecca would have had at least 10 children, died fairly young, and some of the children were farmed out to other relatives.
One of William's brothers was a Joseph Crook, also of SC.
Any leads would be appreciated.
