I am trying to find some information on Levin or Levi N. Cropper he is my great, great, great, great, great grandfather. I know he lived in Worcester, (formerely Somerset Co.), Maryland and was listed in the militia roles for the Sinepuxient Battery approximately 1780. His wife was Comfort, Comforte, Caufort; Bill, Biehl, Biehle... They had two children named Thomas and Nathaniel, there may have been more. Thomas and Nathaniel moved to Iberville Parish near the town of Plaquemine approximately 1800. They were each married and began building their plantations soon afterward. Thomas Cropper was my great, great, great, great, grandfather, Nathaniel my uncle. I would appreciate any information on Levi and his family. I believe he was born about 1760. I recall reading that he was a sugar planter near Sinepuxient Bay; near a place known as "Cropper neck", a sound. I believe his ancestral home was called "Wellbeck".
