Surnames: Crosier

I'm a local historian in Glen Haven, Co. near Estes Park. There is a mountain named for a Crosier who settled in this area around 1880-90s.He prospected, trapped and raised horses. Can find no further info. First name may have been John or Jack. Any help appreciated.
