I am looking for any information for Elizabeth Crossen who lived in Buckingham/Low Quebec in the 1830's. She was married to Patrick DOYLE. They were the parents of my gggrandfather Michael Doyle who was born on June 12 1838. Patrick Doyle and Elizabeth Crossen were listed as his parents on his Birth certificate and his Death certificate.

I am looking on information on my g grandmother Francis Hamilton. born about 1885 in Ky. She had a sister named Julia. She was raised around Reel foot lake in Tn. She married Valentine Slover Rice and lived in Arkansas had two children Nina b. 1902 and Valentine S. Rice IV. b 1908 and lived in Memphis, Tn. until death. I can't find any information on her parents or other family members.

I am looking for information on Charles Crossen. He died 12 April 1900 and is buried in Covington, Tn. It is believed that he came over from Ireland at age 12. Does anyone have any information on him. He left my g grandmother when their 4 children were very small. Any information would be great.

I am a Crossen who lives in California. My father moved from Brunswick Ohio. He is James the Thrid. His father, James the 2nd was resident of Ohio at the turn of the 20th century. I believe I have been told that James the First or his father even, descended from the Canadian region above Ohio and did not practice religion and/or are Athiest.

I have a John Crossen married to a Catharine Sevilla King in my family tree. John was born 1815 in Pa. and died 1890 in Pa. Catharine was born in 1817 and died 1852. One of their children was a son named Ana Franklin Crossen born January 15, 1850. I don't know whether this is the same family or not. They lived in Athens County, Ohio at least for a while. John married two other ladies after Catharine died. In the records I have him married to another lady named Catherine King who was born in 1848. My great grandfather was Frank Crossen 1849-1938. His birth cert showed a John Crossen as father and Mary (King) as his mother.
Could this be the same John Crossen. Frank was born in OH, but I was family came from PA.

I am looking for infromation on John Crossen and Mary (King) Crossen. Approx dob 1825.

My great, great grandfather was Frank Crossen their son.
1849-1938.
I was told we came from PA and Scotland before that. But the trail runs dry aith John & Mary.

I am searching for info. on william alexander CROSSEN who was a commercial traveller for the Singer SEwing Machine Co He was said to have met his wife julia anna BLOWMAN whilst travelling in Russia.His son,also william alexander CROSSEN(a) came to New Zealand in the late 1800's and was born about 1872.Records show him as born in London but I have never been able to confirm that.

Said to be the black sheep of the family.A sister/brothe r appears to have married into a wealthy family and I have photos showing their big home on the Thames River. I do not have the given name of the sister)One photo shows them (husband wife and two boys in a Type A Citroen car ) outside their home on the Thames.(photo taken about mid 1920's)When the son died in Wellington,NZ in 1938 he was using the name CROSBY.

The name is not listed in BDM/U.K census etc.

I would greatly appreciate any hep in tracing the Crossen family

Hello. Was your Crossen family from Randolph County, ARK.?
I have an Asamuel or Amanuel or a Samuel Crossen. He married Winniford Reynolds and then there is a marriage to Mary Davis. Winnifred and Mary were step-sisters. I think, but have no proof that Asamuel and Amanuel are the same person.
Winniford Reynolds born 1837 in IL., married Amanuel Crossin Jan. 5, 1855 in Randolph Co., ARK.

Mary A. Davis born 1837 in IL., married Asamuel Crossin in 1856, in Randolph Co., ARK.

Let me know if you recognize any of these names.

JAMES and Rosann CROSSEN in PA and Ohio

I am looking for information regarding James Crossen and his wife, Rosann. James was born in SCOTLAND around 1850 and Rosann was born in IRELAND around the same time. They were married around 1870. The oldest of their children, Margaret and James were born in Scotland. Two younger ones, Philip and Mary,were born in PA. The family would have arrived in the US approx. 1874. In the 1880 census they are living in Perry County, OH and he is a coal miner. In the 1900 census, the family is in Franklin County, OH in Columbus and he is still working in a mine. They have 3 additional children listed--Julia, Thomas, and Agnes.

I am the 4X g-grandson of James Crossen (1800-1886) and Mary Abernethy Crossen (ca. 1800-1868), formerly of Comber, County Down, IR. James arrived in NY on the LORD STANLEY in 1842. Among the children, my g-g-g-grandfather John C. Crossen (1832-1865).

What do you know about the ship LORD STANLEY?

My wife is a descendant of James and Rachel (Crossen) Alexander of Washington Co., OH, both born in Bedford Co., PA. Rachel was a sister of Nehemiah. I have been trying to sort out the Crossens and Sampsons and would like to compare notes with anyone who has done research on these families in Bedford County. I am of course familiar with Stephen Merrill's book.

My gggrandfather was Manus Crossan from County Donegal, Ireland. He had a son Bernard, born 1864 and emigrated to New Zealand. Married Margaret McTamney in Dunedin 1889 and had 5 children. Bernard had 2 sisters and 1 brother who all moved to the USA

I was researching the Crossett family and came across an Olover Crossen and his descendents in Johnson Co. AR. According to the 1850 census he was 78 years old, and he was born in Ireland. Hope this helps someone.

Margaret & Habbord Jorden are my gg-gp's.
Margaret & her 2 younger sons moved to Kansas. I am not sure Habbord was still living as he was not listed in the census with them.

Several of their children (including my gf Charles) moved to Indiana before moving on to KS.

I have a copy of Marg. & Habbord's marriage certificate from Belmont Co. OH. I do not have their parents altho' this paper states the parents were present. Unfortunately it doesn't list their names.

In one census there is a Julie Crossen living with them which I thought might be her mother.
