Hello, I am looking for history on the Crossland family. My g-g-g-grandpa was Samuel Dempsey Crossland. I don't have any dates of birth/death. All I found was he is the farther to Thomas Elijah Crossland. I could not locate a name of his wife or if he had any other kids. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Holly

Hi I am just starting to search my history and have gotten further then I thought and now I am hooked..

I started with my grandpa Harvey Crossland b.1-12-10 d.10-1971. From there I have:
Charles Henry Crossland b.April 1869 d. 1/11/19
Thomas Elijah Crossland b 1821

I also have their wives:
Harvey->Doshia Crossland
Charles-> Martha Essary b.Dec 1879 d.Sept 15, 1969
Thomas-> Mary Chauncey Casey

I have just started and have only doen the men so far. I have hit a road block with Thomas Elijah. Any information would be great. Also I would love to have some other websites to search on. Free if possible..:-)

Hi I'm looking for info on my father,s side of the family Crossland. Stanley Crossland was my father's( Arthur Crossland 1916-1984 )'s uncle. The only info. I have is that he was born in 1887 in Denby area of yorkshire son of Wilson B.1852 & Jane Crossland B.1853 and he had 3 sisters & 2 brothers. I was fortunate to be able to speak to Maude the youngest sister 20years ago in her later years and can remember her saying Stanley emmigrated to South Africa in his younger years and I looked at photo's of him & other family members but unfortunately I have lost notes & would be grateful of any further info.

Hi I,m looking for members of my father's side of the family Crossland. My father Arthur Crossland 1916-1984 had a sister Dorothy 1912-1963 who I think married a Tom Charlesworth that originated from Glasgow Scotland they had a daughter called Katherine. They lived in the skelmanthorpe area yorks.. I was very young when Auntie Dorothy passed on and can't remember meeting any of the family but can remember in later years that my mother told me that Tom & Katherine were thinking of moving back to scotland shortly after Dorothy's death. I often wondered if they did and if I have further relatives I don't know of. I would be grateful of any info.

Bessie Crossland was my paternal grandmother.She was born in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania in 1887,Her father was Joseph Crosland born in Stalybridge,England.Her mother,Ella was born in New Jersey,USA.She had two boys,Harry Bernard Leary and Earl Brown. She was married to my grandfather Harry Joseph Leary in Chicago,Illinois,USA.My father was born in 1914 and earl about 1917. She passed away in 1917 and is interned at North Cedar Hill cemetary in the Frankford section of Philadelphia,Pennsylvania,USA

I have limited info on their children here's what I know.

Lee had one child Gary born abt 1944

John Marshall Perry born May 1886 Died Aug 1940
Married Flossie Lee Deason born 1895 died 1975
One child Margaret E Perry born 1924 still living
Margaret Perry married Johnnie M Reed Sr
John Marshall and Flossie Perry had one other child to
die Charles Perry DOB 1912 death 1913

Charlie Perry DOB 1883
Married Dora Hayes DOB 1890
Children Lillie DOB 1910 death 2007
Mildred Perry DOB 1922 still living

Lillie Perry married John E Cahoon (Dutch) DOB 1903 death 1988
They had a child name John Eastman Cahoon
And resided in Chattanooga TN
Mildred Perry married Bob Frazier and they lived in Morristown TN
They had 2 children Dwight Frazier and Barbara both still living.

Most of these Perry's lived in southern middle Tennessee area Sam Perry and his son moved to Arkansas and we lost touch with them

I don't have any other info on children of Calvin Thomas Perry and Lydia Ann Crossland .These are my great grandparents and would like any info on them or relatives that you are willing to share with us.

Have noted your message on the community boards in re William and Ella Beers Crossland. Ella's father was Charles Beers, family was originally from Port Henry NY and moved to OBrien county IA. I am tracking the Beers. Charles Beers and my 2great grandfather were brothers. I do not have anything on the Crosslands beyond Williamm, her husband. Would like to learn more of her family.

I am Elijah Crossland's ggranddaughter. His daughter, Mary Elizabeth married Evan Jefferis and Evan and Mary were parents of Levi Springer Jefferis who was my grandfather. Levi Springer had one sone Charles Evan who was my father. We left Uniontown in about 1949 when I was around 8. I now live in Frederick, Maryland. I have just started seriously looking into family history.

My gg-grandfather was Augustus B. Crossland(born between 1859-1863) Stark County, OH. He outlived his first two wives and married a 3rd time to Emilla (Aurelia?) Shepler in 1865.

They had daughters Sarah Bell (born 1871) and Ivy M. (born 1867).

Augustus and Emilla also had one set of triplets who died when they were about one year old. The triplets are buried in Stark County, OH with a headstone reading "Our Babes".
It's possible they had a second set of triplets, too.

Triplets were a rare occurance and having all of them survive birth was exceptional. I've tried looking for early triplet births in Ohio but can't find anything.

Hope this might ring a bell with someone.

Alfred Crossland born England c1842, married 1. Ann Ezard and 2. Nellie Florence Wright. Ann Ezard Crossland gave birth to triplet daughters in 1884 and died shortly after, does anyone know what happened to the triplets. I suspect two died as infants. Ann also gave birth to a son in 1882 named John Henry Crossland, where is Harry? If anyone is researching this family I would love to hear from you.

I do not believe we have ever communicated. According to my records, your g grandmother, Susan Ida Crossland married Tylee Houston James on 24, Dec 1890. Am I correct on all this?

I am looking for people who are descendants of Sam Crossland and Ann Johnson. both born 1780's SC and VA. Thier son was Meridith, and he married Lucinda Cleveland, their son was William Crossland. He married Sarah Mills, and they had Susan Crossland, who was my g grandmother.

Hello, I am from Barnsley in Yorkshire. My dad's dad was called Thomas Crossland. His mum and dad died quite young, and the large family were divided up between the rest of the family, to be cared for and brought up. My dad can remember visiting an Aunt Annice, in Barnsley in the 1940's and 1950's. I don't know if it is a help or not. Good luck with the research anyway, and greetings from Yorkshire!
