Can anyone connect my Crosson to their line? My John was born in Ontario (then known as English) Canada, around the years specified. He later ended up in Phelps Co., MO, where he married my gg-grandmother, Nancy Emeline Treat nee Morris, (b.1834 TN)on 7 Feb 1869. In 1870, their daughter, Sophia Josephine Crosson, was born in MO. Prior to 1880, John seems to have disappeared without a trace as he is not listed with his wife and daughter on the 1880 Phelps Co., MO census. I have yet to find any other records on him (death, burial, etc.) I have found some Canadian burial records in the online Ontario archives for York Co., where I have discovered another female by the name of Sophia Josephine Crosson, buried in a cemetery there. As the birthyear that was mentioned is somewhat within the range of what I think my John's birthyear to be, I believe that this Sophia could possibly be the mother, sister, or other close family member to John. Any info anyone? Please email me at: cleonard12@aol.com
