Hi I have managed to trace the marriage of my My Great Great Great Grandmother Margaret to my GGG Grandfather Samuel Carruthers It appears that they were married on 24 October 1838 at St Cuthbert’s, Carlisle, and her maiden name is recorded as Crosthwaite.
I know that Margaret Crosthwaite was born in 1816 in stanwix.
