Hey thought you may be interested in a Crouthemal Family Bible (in German) that we are selling on eBay. It's an 1833 bible and the Crouthemal's lived in Bedminister pa (Bucks County). There is a bit of family history in the bible. The names that I can make out are Owen, Lizzie, Harry, Washington.

This is what my job is - to have family members contact me directly and make sure all info is entered correctly into the computer records. Part of the problem now is getting word out there and getting people to actually get back to me with the info. This is a tough job - everyone out there needs to get their family members to contact me at debsblowars@verizon.net so I can get all info needed.

Also - if everyone would start sending me their email addresses, I can then add you to the email list and this will also save the family $$ when sending info on the reunions.

Thanks - Deb

FYI, by only entering the info from the 1981 book you will miss so many people. I have access to almost 20,000 names in the computer database. ANyone needing Crouthamel info can contact me at debsblowars@verizon.net. I will not be posting this info online as it takes a lot of time to add in and info changes so much over time. Easier to keep all info in one place, and anyone can contact me to get the appropriate info according to what I have. People should also contact me to make sure I have all their info correct in the program.

The five books follow the men in the 3rd generation, Henry's sons. Since not much info was kept for the women, no books feature their info. Once we can follow the women's families we can create books for them. The five volumes are Andrew, John S, John Jacob, John George and the ASH volume which includes Abraham, Samuel and Henry.

I am working on a project to put the 1981 book on Rootsweb World Connect. You can find it at:

http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=annabgen-...

I have found many of these people in online Censuses and the SSDI and added that to the data in the book. I don't show names or details on those who were born after 1920 but I do have that data on my computer.

I assume the 5 new books are one for each of Henry Crouthamel's children that were the main divisions in the 1981 book, right?

According to "Descendants of Andreas Crouthamel" he is buried in the Souderton Cemetery, Souderton, PA and he died when 11 years old. I can't find him in any census with the rest of the family so he may have lived between 1880 & 1900.

TIA for any info.

Would you mind telling me who Mary Crouthamel and Charles Deaterly's daughter Sarah Ann married and the information provided for her and her family? Oh and if you can, can you provide the page number also. You have been a great help because I haven't been able to find this book anywhere. I do thank you for being so generous with your information.

Shaunessy

On page 157 of "Descendants of Andreas Crouthamel:
Mary Ann Crouthamel b. 7-27-1833; d. 5-31-1927
M-5-21-1854, Charles M.
i am trying to find proof that mary ann crouthamel (b: 1834; d: 31 May 1927) married charles m deaterly. i can't find the descendant's of andreas crouthamel book anywhere and was wondering if anyone can provide me a citation for this.

also, if there is a citation for the marriage of sarah ann deaterly (b: 19 Jul 1860; d: 17 Jan 1930) and franklin p bartholomew (b: 20 Jun 1858; d: 16 Nov 1945) in the book. sarah ann is the daughter of charles m deaterly and mary ann crouthamel. i don't know who franklin's parent's were, but i read online that he is a william bartholomew.

if anyone can please help, i would greatly appreciate it.

My great great grandmother, Margret Buffington had a daughter, and for some time, lived with a Samuel Crouthamel. I'm not sure that they ever married. They lived either in southern Northumberland County or northern Dauphin County, PA. Margret was born abt. 1869 and my great grandmother, Florence Ruth Crouthamel Travitz was born in 1883 or 1890. If anyone could help with Samuel's background, it would be a great help. Thanks.
No wife's name: And just why do you think Andreas & son Henry came to the Colonies?

Sources state that they came from the "Palentine area" of Germany. Major source-hunting problem is that today's "Palentine area" in Germany is NOT the same area it was in the 1750's. That opens up most of the present day southwestern area of Germany.

By-the-way, if anyone asks, whether the Crouthamel name is German, the proper answer is: No, it's ENGLISH." When they arrived in Philadelphia, Andreas and son swore allegiance to the English Crown, therby making them English subjects.

Genology can be fun, sometimes.

Tom
