Edith May Kent Crown, 85, of Shaw Road, died Tuesday, July 12, 1994 at the Winship Green Nursing Home in Bath, ME.
Mrs. Crown was born in Dummerston, Vermont on February 23,1909 to William Henry Kent and Rosella Aldrich. Edith attended Brattleboro, VT schools.
She married Richard F Crown in Brattleboro, VT and they later moved to Woolrich, ME in the 1930's. Her husband died Jan 17, 1989.
Mrs Crown owned & operated Crown Kennels in Woolwich, where she raised & showed Scottish Terriers.
She was a member of the West Bath Grange, Sagadahoc Pomona & the State & National Granges. She enjoyed knitting & Crocheting, & was a the winner of several ribbons at the Topsham Fair.
Surviving are two brothers, Richard Kent of Lagrangeville, NY., William Kent of Desert Hot Springs, CA; three sisters, Rosella Desbiens of East Havens, CT, Mable Brown of Bernardston, MA, & Mary Avery of Brockton, MA, & several nieces & nephews.
Edith was predeceased by four brothers, Raymond Kent, Francis Kent, John & Ralph Kent.
She was buried at the Morningside cemetery in Brattleboro, VT.
