My maternal great-grandfather was John Alexander Croy, born 8 Dec 1857 in Gallatin, Missouri. His father, John Alexander Croy, born 1831, Crawfordsville, Indiana. He married Lydia Railsback in 1848.
My great-uncle John Otto Croy left our family with a History of The Croy Family Antiquity which he published in 1959. In his history he claims we are decendants of Generals Richard and John Croy who immigrated in the fall of 1660 to the north bank of the Delaware River, six miles above the village of Philadelphia, PA.
I also have newspaper clippings that indicate my great-uncle John Otto Croy was a cousin to Homer Croy, Sr. the American author.
I am certain there has been a great deal of research on this Croy family history and I would like very much to connect with some of my relatives.
