I am trying to find living relatives for a gentleman who has little knowledge about his extended family. He is particularly interested in locating the descendents of James Croydon and his wife Eliza Parkhouse (born Taunton 1805) and of their son, Frederick Croydon, b 1842, Tiverton, Devon and his wife Hannah Holmes.

Frederick and Hannah had four known sons:

1)Frederick Croydon born Penge S London 1866, married Ellen Broom born Ipswich 1863 (Frederick's family are listed in detail later);

2)William Croydon b 1867, Penge S London;

3)Austin Howard Croydon b Forest Hill S London 1870, married Lucy Field, died Devon 1941. Known children: Edith M Croydon b 1897 Plymouth, Freda Croydon b 1901 Devonport.

4)Charles Ernest Croydon b 1873, Somerset. Married Agnes Emily Weathersby. Lived in North London - St Pancras and Harrow. Only known child Frederick Charles Croydonb 1900 St Pancras, d WW1.

Frederick and Ellen (at number 1 above)had 9 children, all born/raised in South London, some of whose decendents are known, others of whom are not:

Edith Maud Croydon b 1867, m. Walter Cooper;
Charles Oliver Croydon b 1893;
Sidney Croydon b c. 1893;
John Croydon b 1897;
Nellie M Croydon b 1900, m William Searle;
Thomas Croydon b 1901;
Dolly Croydon b ?1904;
Edward Croydon b ?1906
