Somewhere down the line Wm was a Cousin of George W. Crile who founded the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio also the Crile Veterans Hospital in Ohio. I have had difficulty finding information on Arrena Daugherty and think the first name maybe incorrect but my sister was named Arrena and supposedly was named after our great grandmother Arrena Daugherty. They were in Holmes County, Ohio.

I am seeking any information available on the Croyle family who mainly resided in Northumberland. Some of the Croyle's emigrated to Australia in the late 1800's. It seems that there is only one family of Croyles in the UK and they are all related. Perhaps some of them emigrated to USA.

If you can provide any information on any Croyles with such a connection I would be most grateful for your helpl

Mary Croyle?

Just acquired the obituary for my husband's grandmother, Mary Wilkins. According to the obit, she was born on 15 August 1887 in Bluffton, Indiana and married to Homer Wilkins in 1918 in Anderson, Indiana. I checked the Anderson marriages and there is only one for Homer Wilkins. He married a Mary Croyle. So, I'm hoping someone will have information on Mary Croyle, born 15 August 1887 in Bluffton. I don't know who her parents/siblings were and my husband has no idea. Anyone have any information on this family?

Any info on Cyntha or Cynthia Croyl?

Does anyone know anything about a Cyntha Croyl? I have very little background info. She was my great grandmother (my grandma doesn't remember much about her background, unfortunately). This is what I know (or have been told):

-Cyntha Ellen Croyl (on her marriage license and tombstone, I believe, it was mis-spelled as Cynthia): born in Clearfield Co., PA; had one known brother (Randall or Raymond?); married Ira Eugene Keene at Orange Center, Orange Co., FL on July 4, 1912; had 11 children; Died in Kissimee, FL, Dec. 28 (don't know the exact year).

My grandma didn't have any information at all about Cyntha's parents; she said another family member whom I've not meet but am hoping to hear from, has done research on our family and I hope he can enlighten me! But I would appreciate any help I can get!

Thanks, Melissa

Croyle Paper

hi there,
My name is Katie Croyle I'm in the 6th grade and I'm doing a paper of my family ancestry. My grandfather was Robert Croyle from Johnstown, PA. He was born in 1921--one of his brothers was named Leroy. I heard that seven Croyle brothers came from Holland and one of them became an ancestor of mine. We believe that they came to America because of trouble the law--I guess I'm a great great great granddaughter to a crimal. LOL :) Thanks if you have any Info.
Please e-mail me. :)

Am seeking information on one Christina Croyle (Patton and then Williams), born at Brady's Bend, Pa. First married someone named Patton, had a son named Elmer. Just after Civil War as a widow, married George Williams, born in Kittanning in 1819. I have a complete history of that union but am seeking earlier history on her.
