I am looking for information on the family of John Crump. He married Maria Holland who was born in 1795 in Coventry, Warwickshire. He had 4 children that I know of.
1. Richard Law Crump, christened Feb. 10, 1828, Pentonville Claremont Independent, Clerkenwell, London. He married Anne Mary Howes Feb 14, 1857 at Old Church, St. Pancras, London, and they immediately left for South Africa where they both died, Anne in 1861 and Richard in 1863. They had two children, Amy Crump and Richard Howes Crump, both born in South Africa.
2. Joseph Holland Crump, christened May 20, 1831 at Pentonville Claremont Independent, Clerkenwell, London. He can be found in the 1871 English census living in Gravesend, Kent with his widowed mother Maria Holland Crump.
3. Henry Crump who was born about 1826 and died July 1, 1865 in Grahamstown, South Africa. He left 4 children, Henry Penrice Hardwick Crump, Penrice Richard Crump, Joseph Holland McMaster Crump (who married Susannah Bonin Parkes in South Africa) and Maria Holland Edith Crump (who married Clement Edward Sherard in England). He was either divorced or separated from Maria Antoinette Penrice.
4. John Crump - whose only indication that he existed is that he signed Henry Crump's death notification in South Africa as "brother, John Crump".
I am interested in finding information on the original John Crump's family as well as any family of the brothers in South Africa.
