For the past three year researching our family name Csech,I found in mid 1800sa villige of Szepes Bela, Hungary. this large family of Csech with first names matching with my Grandfather, Andreas Julius Csech, b-abt 1860s in Hungary. My grandfathers first family siblings, first names, match pritty close to this large family fo Szepes, Bela, On Family Search, I do believe this is a positive connection, Now my Gfather Andreas Julius Csech seems to have another family going on ,early 1900s in Pa. I do believe this is a connection!!!

Our Joseph Csech was born June 1897 in NY, he had other brothers and sisters: Franky, Edward Andrew, Emma, Mary Veronica, Lena (Lina), Albert Alexander and Harold J. all with the last name of Csech. I have attached a picture of Josephs Interment card.

There father was Andrew L. Osech was used on the Census, but the last name is really Csech. He was born 1867 in Austria. He was married to a Amelia A. Csech (also listed on Census as Gsech and Osech and Couch). She was born Jun 1871 in Russia, Austria and Hungary.

Let me know if this is a match.

This might sound far fetched, but I wonder if we are related. I have tried tracing our ancestry, but my great-grandfather supposedly changed his name. When he died, his name was James Edward Osech, but it is rumored that his real first name was Joseph. His date of birth is listed as January 1, 1900, also falsified. And he told everyone he was from New Jersey. There are no records of any of this. I wonder if the Joseph you have listed is my great-grandfather. Do you know what ever happened to Joseph Csech??? Please let me know, maybe this is all connected somehow.

I am looking for information on the Czech family. Where they orginally came from I don't know. I have heard of a Czech family living in western Ukraine and am specifically looking for information on a member of that family, Alexander Czech, who went from Ukraine to Germany during WWII, then moved to Keighley, England and lived there until he died. To my knowledge he never married.
