YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at the Beulah Temple United Holy Church, 523 Griffith St., for Mrs. Eva Jane Harris, 93, who departed this life Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Westminister Thurber Health Care Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Mrs. Harris was born Aug. 26, 1919, to Thomas and Amanda Himes Cuff in Mercersburg, Pa.
She was a 1934 graduate of the Mercersburg High School. She was employed by Strouss’ May Company until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the Beulah Temple United Holy Church, where she served in the choir, Sunday School and the Mother’s Board. Eva enjoyed traveling and playing the piano.
Her husband, Rev Wolver Harris, whom she met in Pittsburgh, passed away in April of 1986.
She leaves to forever cherish her memory, two daughters, Evelyn “Barbara” (John) Draughon of Columbus and Gloria (James) Burnette of Phoenix; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews and nieces in Chambersburg, Pa.
Besides her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Cuff; and sister, Eleanora Cuff Teal of Chambersburg.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
