Cullinan/Cullin of Medina, Ohio and Bay City, Michigan

Looking for info on the following Cullinan/Cullin family who all lived in Medina, Ohio as of 1880:

1. John Cullinan - Born about 1815 in Ireland. Farmer in Medina.

2. Mary Cullinan - Born about 1823 in Ireland. Wife of John. Maiden name unknown.

3. Thomas Cullinan (Cullin) - Born 3/18/1855 in Ohio. Died 10/27/1913 in Bay City, Michigan. Son of John and Mary Cullinan. Farmer in Medina, Ohio and then later he worked on the railroad in Michigan.

4. Mary Cullinan (Cullin) - Born about 1863 in Ireland. May have died in Detroit, Michigan possibly in April of 1946. Wife of Thomas. Maiden name unknown. Was the sister of Alice Turney (Tierney?) who lived in Cadillac, Michigan as of 1895. Was the niece of Julia (Slattery) Horan of Bay City, Michigan.

Thomas and Mary Cullinan (Cullin) were married in about 1879 or 1880 in Ohio. By 1900, they lived in Bay City, Michigan and went by the name of Cullin. Their name was sometimes incorrectly spelled as Cullen in some publications and records. After Thomas died, his wife Mary continued to live in Bay City up until her death.
Cullin/Cullins of Davenport, Scott Co, IA

Would anyone be researching the Cullin/s line from Davenport, IA?. I know they were from New York, but that is all I know.

The Cullin/s I am interested in married Jeanne (Mary Jeanne) COURTRIGHT, place of marriage and date ukn. It should be in IL, around the Fulton Co, area, or Jackson Co, KS area where her brother Richard Courtright lved and was married to Hannah Slater, or in Scott Co, IA.--not found to date.

The ___ Cullin I am interested in died of typhoid after he had gone fishing with a friend on a Mississippi River island, possibly Milan Island, near Muscantine, Muscantine Co, IA. He came home sick after drinking bad water. I believe he died before 1909. Jeanne lived with her mother Lydia Courtright, who died in 1909. Jeanne died a few years later, in her early 60's.

I was hoping that by finding info on the Cullin/s family, as he had a brother in the area also, that I might find out more regarding Jeanne and her marriage. They did not have any children that is known of. I know her sister in law helped to fill out death information.

I cannot find her in the Iowa census records.

I do have a copy of Lydia Courtright's will and it wills everything to Jeanne, mentioning her as a widow, and gives address of house she leaves to her.

Any information would be very appreciated.

Sincerely

Carolyn
catkinson54@msn.com
Sarah Cullin/Cullen of London Middlesex?

Just bringing this back to the top and putting in some new information that has come to light.

My 3 x Great Grandmother was a Sarah Cullin from London Middlesex a bit vague I know buts that all the information I have on her there. The spelling of her surname I've taken from the birth certificates of her children. The census have ages that indicate dates of birth between 1816 and 1819.

She married a Joseph White a Shoemaker(from Birmingham/Halesowen)at some point in the 1830's. They had several children most of whom seem to have been born in the Handsworth/Winson Green area of Birmingham. These children include John, William, Joseph, Mary, Sarah and Susan (there are more). Sarah died on 01.05.1887 aged 68 years, she is buried in St Marys Handsworth we think sharing a grave with her husband.

I'm not sure if there are any links or it may just be just coincidence but two of her daughters travelled to Lord Cullens ancestral home/estate in Northampton to get married before travelling back to Birmingham

I am particularily interested to find out where she came from and when and where she married Joseph, if there is anyone out there who is descended from one of her other children who may have even the tiniest bit of information I'd love to here from you.

Stephen
I believe my grand father left Notts and came to London where my father Henry Cullin was born in Fulham on the 07.11.01
Henry and William are common christian names in this branch of the family. My name is John William Cullin my mother chose my first name after her father. My elder brother is Henry Cullin. See Debretts Book of Cullins where we are listed. I am a designer in wrought iron work. Blacksmithing must be in the blood.
Best regards J. Cullin

I am searching for my biological father's family. My biological father's name was Rupert B. Kavanaugh. He was the son of Sarah Cullin. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas but later moved on to Carmichael, California. I would believe Sarah Cullin at one time lived in Little Rock, Arkansas too. Sarah Cullin would be my biological grandmother on my dad's side.

Any information would greatly be appreciated.
