I have a "Table of the descendants of WILLIAM CUMMING, of Frederick Co, Maryland." - Compiled and arranged by MONTGOMERY CUMMING, Washington, D.C., July 1, 1905. William was born near Inverness about 1725, made a prisoner at the battle of Culloden, reached Maryland the year thereafter, married Sarah Coppage, of an old Eastern Shore family, who died in 1765, became a large landed proprietor in Frederick Co and died near the end of March, 1793, at his home in the Linganore Hills.

William and Sarah had 7 children: ANNA CUMMING(John Campbell,jr.);ELIZABETH CUMMING(Nicholas Hobbs, John Campbell);ROBERT CUMMING(Mary Ellen Coates); SARAH CUMMING(Edward Dorsey)JANE CUMMING(John McElfresh,Jr.); CATHERINE CUMMING(Richard Simpson,Jr.); and THOMAS CUMMING(Ann Clay).

The descendents probably go down to the early 1900's and while it is a huge document and very fragile, I am attempting to input it into my family history computer program - I would like to exchange information who might be interested in this CUMMING lineage.
