MARION, Iowa -- Diane M. Cunningham, 44, Marion, died Saturday, June 5, 2004, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a battle with cancer.
Services are at the Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home, Lone Tree. Carol Kaalberg, Parish Life coordinator, will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, rural Nichols.
Mrs. Cunningham was born Dec. 3, 1959, in Iowa City, the daughter of Donald Herman and Joyce Helen Meka Kasper. She married Michael Cunningham on Sept. 29, 1990, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua.
She graduated from West Liberty High School in 1978.
She was an industrial buyer and purchasing agent for several companies in the Cedar Rapids area.
She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose in Muscatine and owned the Adult Meduloeblastoma Group on Yahoo. She enjoyed doing crafts and playing black jack and the slots at the casinos and riverboats.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Cunningham of Marion; two sons, Eric and Blake Cunningham, both at home; her mother, Joyce Hollenbeck and husband, Gayle, of Atalissa; two sisters, Debra Carter of West Liberty and Danita Dee Evans and husband, Grant, of Seven Valleys, Pa.; a brother, Donald Kasper Jr. and wife, Dawn, of Nichols; two aunts, Delores Kasper of Solon and Bernice Gardner and husband, Bill, of Nichols; nieces and nephews, Shawn and Chase Carter, Justin and Josh Terhune, LeeAnna Kasper, James T. and Megan Cunningham, Justin Szabo and Jessica Hauber.
She was preceded in death by her father; paternal grandparents, Herman and Evelyn Kasper; maternal grandparents, Louis and Adelaide Meka; an uncle, Leroy Kasper; and an aunt, Arlene Kasper
