My gg-grandfather, James Cunningham, was born in Co. Longford ca. 1820; he married my gg-grandmother, Bridget Ring, b. Co. Kilkenny in the early 1850s in NY. They subsequently moved to Will County in the later 1850s, living near Manhattan and New Lenox. James & Bridget are buried in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Joliet. Their son, Michael J., is my g-grandfather.
