Grace C. Whitsel
Mrs. Grace C. Whitsel, 86, 2717 S. 10th Ave., died Saturday, March 6,1999, at Altoona Hospital, following an extended illness.
She was born April 20, 1912, in Altoona, the daughter of the late Anna Viola Burkhart. She married James H. Whitsel. He died March 5, 1991.
Mrs. Whitsel retired as a presser with Puritan in 1977.
She enjoyed fishing, camping and yard sales.
Mrs. Whitsel was a member of Old Timers CB Radio Club and AARP.
Surviving are a sister, June Black of Altoona; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Warren H. Replogle Funeral Home.
WHITSEL—Funeral services for Grace C. Whitsel will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Warren H. Replogle Funeral Home by Father Michael Singer. Interment at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Whitsel is survived by grandchildren: Scott H. Whitsel and Virginia Bollman, both of Hollidaysburg, Barbara Eckard of Altoona, James W. Whitsel of Williamsburg and Elizabeth A. Shamonsky and William F. Whitsel, both of Coaldale. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, James Robert Whitsel.
