I haave just started researching my fathers mothers family. she was born emma curd in maybe memphis tn in early 1920s. she had three kids in the forties in wi and they were taken away by the state and my father grew up an orphan. i didn't know her name until i was 19. that is all i know about her. she died in milwaukee about four or five years ago. if someone can help please do. i finally found my dads family and his fathers but nothing yet on his mothers side. my dad died three years ago and a lot of pain and secrets died with him. he never talked about his childhood and i never asked. i have aways been curious of my ancestors. please help if anyone can.
