I have just discovered a ?? Cure married Edith Huggins of Bawnboy Co. Cavan Ireland around 1940. They had a son George and moved to England. It is not known whether George was born in England or Ireland. If any of these names are in your family tree, I would love to hear from you.

The only info I know is that Clinton's parents are Obed Cure(born about 1895) and Luella Alice Lasher(1895-1957,this is my great great aunt through the Lasher family).I know that Obed's parents were Frasier S,born about 1863 and Catherine E. Maybe this bit will help you trace farther back as it's definitely in the right area of Ulster county.Sorry I couldn't be more help to you. Good Luck!
Tim & Diane

Is your Clinton Cure a descendant of the William Cure d.1871 and wife Polly d. 1866 who are both buried in Highmount Cemetery next to Belleayre Ski Center? I think I am connected to this William & Polly, if they had a daughter named Mary born Coxackie Sept 15, 1807.
Please let me know if you have a connection.
Sherrie

It is unlikely that there is no connection between our two lines as both seem to originate in Shandaken County, New York and ended up in Wisconsin. Do you have a Frederick Cure any where in your line (possibly brothers or cousins?) I sent you all of information previously and am sorry that you apparently didn't get it. You will find the entire line on Ancestry.com, but I would prefer to send it to you as a GED file separately.
Gordon (Cure) Bigalke

I am currently composing the Cure Family History Book which I started January, 2006. My cousin, Jim has been researching the Cure family for 3 years and I created the layout complete with pictures, (sorry, no pictures from the Dates family). Both my cousin and I are decendents of Mary's brother, Amos Elias Cure. Amos is our great, great grandfather. Mary died on Aug. 8, 1900. Born, Nov. 1, 1863 in NY. Her obituary says she died in Hosp. in Eau Claire, Wisc.
2 weeks after surgical operation. Parents are Addison Dewitt Cure and Martha (ne: --?--). We go back 2 generations from him as well. Addison's parents are James Montgomery and Rhoda (ne: --?--). James' parents are Elias Cure and Elizabeth N. (ne: BOARDMAN).

Barbara had two brothers, Pierre and Michael (Kuri)and one sister Catherine.
Family legend says that she was raised and educated in a convent in Canada and brought to Milwaukee, Wisconsin by Frederick Harmeyer her husband. They were married in 1839 and had nine children.

Tobey Cure ~ Hung in 1712

Tobey Cure, was hung in 1712 in N.Y. He was part of a slave revolt.

I am not related to this family. I was browsing through this site called "Executions in New York" and just wanted to share this interesting information with the list. The link for the site is listed below.
Joyce

http://users.bestweb.net/~rg/execution/NEW%20YORK.htm

James M. Cure: daughter Fannie Mae.

I have some pictures of my great great great grandmother available for viewing. Don't we all wonder what ancestors looked like? Fannie Mae was one of the daughters of James, of Schuyler County, New York. Fannie married Lyman Henderson (Hendershot/Hendershott) and had one son, Guy DeMott Henderson. Guy married a Vada Smith, lived in Kansas, then Washington. They had four children. I don't have much else on hand to offer for viewing, but do have some more pictures of Hendershots and so on. Contact me if you'd like, with the subject of the e-mail as "regarding ancestors" Enjoy and God bless.

Hi

I am a bloodline of Cures's in Australia. The original Cure came out as a convict in the 1850's from Tipperary, Ireland. This is where the majority of Cure's, i believe, originated from. If you are still after info, please let me know.

Edward Cure obit 1928

Webpage Rawson Memorial Library, Cass City Chronicle, issue 30 Mar 1928, page 1,

Edward Cure, 73, village marshal of Fairgrove for two years, dropped dead about 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the yard of C. Gordon in that village, while talking to Harold Foster. Heart trouble was the cause of death. His wife and one daughter survive. [burial in Brookside cemetery, Fairgrove, Michigan]

Census searches show that Edward, aka Edwin, Cure was the son of Martin and Lydia Cure of Rome, Lenawee County. Also that he was married twice and this wife apparently was not the mother of his living child.

Researcher, not a relative.
Parilee Cure//William Austin Cure/Austin Jewett Cure/M C Cure

I am looking for information on Parilee (unsure of spelling) Cure born 1866 in Texas, married William Thomas Butler. One of her siblings is William Austin Cure married to a Stroud. Her father is Austin Jewett Cure born 1834 in New York married to Anne Elizabeth Bridgewater. His parents are M.C. Cure (born 1802 New York) married to Polly UNK (born 1797 New York). I am unable to find census records for her before 1910, and I can only find a census record on MC Cure for 1850. I know I have the right line based on some newspaper articles, but nothing solid on Parilee herself. Any information would be much appreciated.
