Calvin Curlee was born in Anson County, NC in 1791. His father was John Curlee. Calvin Curlee died on Oct 23, 1851 in Cannon County, TN. He is buried in the Curlee Cemetery in Cannon County, TN. He established the Curlee Church of Christ that is still in existence. I visited the cemetary and church about ten years ago. My mother was a Curlee from Cannon County and a decendent of Calvin Curlee. Calvin married Rebecca Faulkenberry on February 10, 1814 in NC. They has eight children: Elizabeth Ann Curlee, Emmaline Curlee, Ruth Belenda Curlee, John Faulkenberry Curlee, Cullen Edmund Curlee, Peyton Becton (Fed) Curlee and Thomas Gowan Curlee. Rebecca Faulkenberry was the daughter of David Faulkenberry who was a Revolutionary Soldier. He was born in SC.
