Hi Kelly, I just read your message, and can offer some information to you. Martha's father appears to be Joseph Curless, my great great grandfather. Martha appears to be his first child from his first marriage to Mary Cranmer. My great grandmother is the only child from his third marriage to Elizabeth Johnson. Martha is listed as born abt. 1821 and marrying Benjamin Doughty Applegate on Apr. 20, 1837, Clermont County, Ohio. Does this check out with your info?

My info comes from my cousin's research. Through someone else she learned the name Curless goes back to Corliez and Carliez in 13-1400's in France.
