I am descended from William Currens, Sr. of Toms Creek Hundred, Frederick County, MD. His son, James settled in Kentucky between 1787 - 1791 and is my gggg-grandfather.

I am trying to determine if there is any linkage between the Currens farms on Emmitsburg Rd during the Battle of Gettysburg and the Currens families of Maryland. John Six Currens was one of William Currens Sr.s two adopted sons. His Johns' children were William, Hugh, Daniel, and Rebecca. On period maps a W. Currens farm and either a A or H Currens farm are shown.

Does anyone have any information on whether the John Currens descendents are the owners of these 1863 farms?
