Hello all descendents of the Currens family of Harrodsburg Kentucky. I am seeking information on James Currens, who came to Kentucky from some where in Maryland, and settled at Salvisa Ky, near Harrodsburg, around 1790. He was born about 1760, married Sarah McAfee, daughter of Robert McAfee, in 1791, and died in 1850. My ancestors are their son Harrison (m.Ann Alsop), his son David T. (m. Melinda Shackelford), his son Lewis H. (m. Prince Egbert), his son Guy (m. Ethel Crowder), and his son, my father, Maurice Guy Currens (m. Joyce Olson).
Bruce Dunlap, who has posted previous inquiries, is my first cousin through Mary Ethel Currens Dunlap, daughter of Guy and Ethel.
