my great grandmother was Ellen Jane Currey,known as Nellie Currey. She married Richard McCloughry in Chicago or Will, cook county, Illinois and her sister married George.

I am searching desperately for any kinsmen. However please do not take as fact all the information in the McClaughry Clan book. It has my great grandmother and her children mixed up. Nellie Currey married a man named William Freeman after the death of Richard, and has two more daughters, my grandmother Mary Belle, and Jennie. My grandmother went to college in California then came to Texas many years later.
Since most of her brothers and sisters passed away years and years before I was born, we have had very little to go on.

from some census records one of the Currey brothers lived next door to Mary and George Mccloury (which is spelled a dozen different ways in genealogy). This family Currey and Freeman has been my brick wall most of my life.As granny was younger and lived away her family, she did not know much about the other family. One cousin from the Voss line and another from the Sneyd family came to Texas several years ago and we have since lost touch. My grandmother passed away in 1985 in Grand Prairie Tx.

Ellen was born to *John Currey and Ellen Jane (Nellie also)*Driscoll some others say something else. After John died in the War between the states, Nellie married Robert Slipper. I have listed for the children of John and Nellie as Alfred john, Mary A, Thomas James, Samuel George, Elisabeth(Jennie? who married Samuel Rohrer), and my Ellen Jane. Since there is little actual verification for these I am seeking other family members to provide some assistance, please, especially if you have bible records or can direct me to some true documentation beside census and vague online information.
