Hi again Elouise
I am not actually related to the Curry family in any way, but I am researching a very specific event relating to the Curry family and in particular relating to Joel and Louisa (Kidd) Curry's son, Benjamin Franklin Curry.

I have one side of events from a small part of the family that I have been studying worldwide for over 26 years and I wanted to see if I could get the story from the other side i.e. the Curry side.

I have part of the public record of events and am working with others to get access to further public records that will add even more detail for us and help to add some balance to the story.

It was only when I visited Texas from England last year that a family account (taken many years later from a family member who was in attendance) was discovered as a direct result of my involvement in the chain of events. It was a wonderful source of information and really enhanced family knowledge and corrected some of the myths that always build up around these events when the family says things like "we do not talk about that" or "you do not want to know about that" etc. etc.

Now it is just possible that a similar situation exists in the Curry family and that is why I am trying to find a Curry researcher who really knows about events relating to Benjamin Franklin Curry's life and not just the names and dates that we family historians manage to gather.

The events I am referring to occurred almost 100 years ago so have no meaning at all to current generations of the family and I think all of the first generation and probably most of the second generation of both families have passed on. I suspect that any record of events in the Curry family may similarly have been lost, but I am really hoping that is not the case.

If you think anyone has the type of detailed knowledge then I would love to know. Please feel free to communicate with me by email - dwiltsdill@ntlworld.com - if you wish to continue regarding this matter.
