Long Illness Fatal to W. D. Curtis, Jr.
Insurance Man, Former Mayor's Son, Dies in 45th Year
William D. Curtis, Jr., 44, of 14 West Gilman street, died Wednesday night at a Madison hospital after a long illness.
He was the son of the former Madison mayor and had been in the insurance business here for the past nine years.
Born in Chicago he came to Madison when a boy and attended the public and high schools here. He was a member of the Elks lodge.
Surviving are the widow, his father, William D. Curtis, Sr., a brother, Tobin and a sister, Mrs. Reid M. Bergh, Madison.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Frautschi funeral home. The Rev. George E. Hunt, pastor at Christ Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery.
