I'm looking for information on Henry E. Curtiss. He was born around 1837-1840 in Portage, New York and fought in the Civil War.
Late in his life he married a woman named Anetta (or Anette). Their son, Orville Curtiss is my great-grandfather. Henry’s father may have been born in Connecticut, but I'm not sure.
Any information on him or his parents especially, would be very helpful. I’ve pretty much come to a dead end on this part of my family tree. Thanks to anyone who responds!
