I am in the beginning of a search of information on Anderson Tide Cypert. I grew up at Culp and would be very grateful to receive the picture of Culp that you mention. It could be emailed to me at marylou.yoder@iedi.net or if mailed: Mary Lou Yoder, 1704 6th Ave. N., Wellman IA 52356

One reason for my search is to find out if A.T. Cypret was the Postmaster at one time at the Post Office at McPhearson, just a few miles from Culp. I have heard that his daughter Ollie, also worked at the same Post Office mentioned. In regard to A.T.'s wife, Sarah Frances Norman, can you tell me if she had a brother Nemo Norman? Any history that you can tell me of A.T. and his family will be much appreciated. In regard to the picture mentioned, can you tell me if there was a canning kitchen at Culp at that time? Thank you.

Hello Donna. I decided to go to a web site that I have not visited in approx 2 years and I noticed your inquiry. My father was born Leo Cypret to Ray & Vida (Harpole, spelling?) Cypret. Like your father, my father's surname was changed when he joined the military. I believe your father and my father were brothers. I remember my father talking about a brother named Robert. If I remember correctly my father talked about visiting a brother Robert (who was in the military) out east somewhere (the name Oil City, PA comes to mind for some reason). Send me an e-mail if you want to talk any further.

Thanks for your reply. I would enjoy talking to you about our familys. I don't know that much about my family. I do have a few records that I will have to find. They are in storage. They may tell us if my grandmother was a sister to the person you wrote about. My dad, Walter Charles Cypert, is still living in Borger, Texas. I can try to find out as much as I can from him. I have just started looking into my family history. I emailed your reply to my cousin, Richard Barnes. He seems to have more info than I do.
I have a photograph of the residents of Culp, AR in 1911 in which Anderson Tide Cypert is pictured. Your grandfather, William Walker Cypert, may also be in the photograph. I also have a photograph of my grandfather, Joseph E. Gower, and Anderson Tide Cypert. My grandfather was married to Rebecca Payne, daughter of John Willis Payne and Mary Elizabeth Platt; my grandparents had six children. He then married Anna Theresa Emmett. Was Louella Emmett, who I believe was married to William Walker Cypert, a sister to Anna Theresa Emmett? I will scan the photographs and e-mail them to you. Would like to talk to you about the Cypert and Emmett families.

Orville
hello counsin....Linda L. Cypret-Kilbourne here. I just saw your message for the first time and thought I would reply.

Phoebe name was Phoebe Ann Robinson - Cypret.
She was my Grandfather's mother. Marvin Cecil Cypret
He was one of the original Cypret children as we say.

We are all from Albion, Michigan, not Charoltte. Charoltte is not to far away thro.

Uncle Tom (Waymon Thomas) was my Grandpa brother. He married my Grandmother Georgie's sister Lucille McGehee.

We are having a Family reunion this year July 19, 2003 at Victory Park in Albion, Michigan. You should have received a invite by now. I due believe I spoke to you a couple of years ago, when I found out about the Mark Twain reunion from Karen Cypret.

I use to attend the Old reunion's when I was a kid at Mammonth Springs, Ark. Which is just a stone throw from Thayer, Missouri. Big Reunion's back than. Even had a county fair going.

Uncle Tom was married twice. Children are Odwea, Billy Dice, Sue, Ann, Paul, Charlie, Opal and Lola. (not that order) Aunt Lucy also had Imagene.

There was another set of twins not mentioned in Grandpa family. I believe their names where Elmer and Earl. Amy and Mammie where twins and Ray was a twin. I believe to May. Aunt May was the oldest I know. Grandpa Marvin told me how they where farmed out after their parents died just so they could eat and Aunt May raised them.

May and Uncle Tom where the first to come to Michigan, they than returned to Missouri and talked Grandpa Marvin into coming back with them. Dad came up sometime in the 1940's. My Dad Carthle Eugene Cypret is now living in Arkansas.

Hope we get to meet and that this helps everyone.
My email is nimkiikwew@msn.com if anyone wants to get ahold of me.

Your cousin
Linda L. Cypret-Kilbourne
Granddaughter of Marvin Cecil Cypret and Georgia Lee McGehee/McGhee-Cypret
Daughter of Carthle Eugene Cypret and Evelyn Gail Skinner (Davidson)- Cypret

His Dad was Paul, who was my Grandpa Marvin's nephew and also Waymon Thomas Cypret son.

I have a print out my Father gave me about coming here to the America's too. Original from Cypress Island I was told ??Also I have found a William J. Cyprett and a Polly Cyprett on the Guion-Miller Rolls. Also my Grandmother sister's Pauline and Lucille McGehee on the Dawes rolls, Minor children by Blood. We do have Native American blood on both sides of my family. Robinson and Brewer's are also on the rolls.

WE are having a Family Reunion July 19,2003 at Victory Park in Albion, Michigan.
I have a Frank Cypert III. b. ca 1795 NC who came to Baldwin Co. AL in the 1830s. Married Nancy Ann Whidbee (sister to my gg gf)and had 9 children. Moved to Comanche Co. TX ca 1873 and Frank died there a year later. Frank supposedly had a twin brother Thomas and a nephew Thomas. The nephew came to AL with him and died ca 1842. Frank's parents were Frank Cypert Jr. and Abigail Johnson. Any connection? Have little else on this family, particularly the descendants of Frank III and Nancy Ann. Would love to correspond with others and share.

6th G Granddaught. Francis Sr. Scypeart

Hi there.

My name is Briana Johnson. I am the 7th great granddaughter of Lorrance Scypeart, 6th great granddaughter of Francis Scypeart. My info came from Edgar B. Byler III, December 21, 1972 who got alot of his info from Henshaw's Records of the Quakers.

I have just recently rec'd this info and have not double checked any of it. But from first analysis so to speak, it seems very very reliable. I have copies of all the census records.

Please get in touch with me. This man, Mr. Byler, has a very interesting story on Francis Sr.'s children and why the names were changed among the siblings: Scypeart, Cypert, Scypert, & Sypert from a family dispute. He said he got this story from Mr. Grayford Morrison of Waynesboro, Tennessee.

I have the full tree almost done and can also email the almost complete tree which is VERY large, by my standards anyway. I have 15 full pages about the descendants of Larrane, Lorrance, Larrance Scypeart. This info spans about 7 generations all the way from Germany to Lancaster Co. PA to Orange Co (Chatham Co.) N.C. to Tennessee and to me in Oklahoma.

Best Regards,

Briana Johnson
Briana@carnegienet.net
I am looking for information on my great great grandmother Virginia Ann Cypert. All I know about her is that she was married to Sam Houston Watts and had a son named Marcus (Mark) Watts. Mark Watts is buried in Rambo Cemetery in Searcy County, Arkansas along with his wife Minnie (Bohannon) Watts and two of his sons Carriel 'Clide' Watts and Sam Watts. If you have any information, please reply here or email me aoliver@arkansas.net

Thanks,
Andrea Oliver
