My grandfather was Henry Roscoe "Gid" Cyrus. His father was Ben Cyrus, but his mother was Emma Dixon Cyrus (I was always told that she was full Cherokee). He had brothers Ivan, Ted, and Daniel, and sisters Vinnie, Minnie Bell, Ethel, Wanda, Della, Gladys, and Jenny. They were originally from West Virginia, but then moved to Johnson County, KY. I'm wondering if Minnie Bell is your grandmother? For all I know, she could have gone by a different name. Heck, my grandfather always went by Gid, but his given name was Henry Roscoe, but something entirely different than that was on his birth certificate (I used to have it listed on my family tree, but now I can't locate it).
