Czarnke, Czarnetsky, Czarnetzke, Zarnke

My mother-in-law was a Zarnke from Cleveland/Youngstown, Ohio. The family came from Germany (Prussia?), and the name was changed upon arrival. She doesn't know what it was before Zarnke--only that it started with a "Cz". Czarnke, Czarnetzke, Czarnetsky I'm guessing at the spelling (the middle one is her guess). Her father was Ocsar Otto, he had a brother Adolf. Sound familiar to anyone?
