Looking for New Jersey Czyzewski

I have a bunch of Czyzewski relatives who were largely in the Newark, New Jersey area from around 1900-1950. The start of the clan seems to have been Roman Czyzewski (1855-1930). I think there were then at least 3 kids, Anthony (1880-193x) who married Pauline Bielut (1883-?), my great-grandmother Barbara (1892-1932) who married Joseph Twarowski (1887-1957), and Unknown who married Mary Unknown. Some of them ran a milk delivery business.

I have a picture of Pauline and my great-grandmother together and various records, but my mom does not remember any of them, even though they just lived a street over.

You give a death date of May 18 2007, It doesnt look like this man had any further children. All step children.
Are you sure this is him?

Mr. Walter J. Czyzewski, age 91, of Spring Hill, Florida died Friday, May 18, 2007 in his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice. He was the loving husband of Bertha (Matthews) Czyzewski.
He moved to Spring Hill in 1999 from Clearwater, Florida, prior to his retirement he was self-employed in the Gas and Oil Industry. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and was of the Protestant Faith.
Along with his wife, Bertha, he is survived by two step-sons Von Rodgers and Angelo Rodgers of Brooksville, Florida; seven step-grandchildren; ten step-great grandchildren and 2 step-great great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 28, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Christian Life Assembly of God, 13065 Jacqueline Road, Brooksville, with Reverend Gordon Burger officiating.
Arrangements by Turner Funeral Homes Spring Hill Chapel (352) 796-9661.

When given the chance i will look into a Walter in our family but im pretty sure there is. Bernard is my great grandfather and as far as i know all the czyzewski's in the st. louis area are related. So if Walter is from here or had family here then mostlikely a relation some way or another. Im trying to type this while my son is aggrevating me so if it doesnt sound right im sorry. He's in the terrible two's lol. Or the horrible three's im not sure anymore lol. I need to ask my stepmom for more info she would know more than me and my father died last year so i cant ask him but i will look into it for you when my son isnt being a butt lol.

I don't know for sure my bio father was born in st louis MO his name was Walter Czycewski my parents divorced in 1936 i was adopted i would love to fond out if i have any family ouy there.

Hi my name is Phyllis (czyzweski) kearns i was adopted by Woodrow Engman my mother told me that my bio fathers name was Walter B Czyzweski and my birth cert said he was born in st louis missiouri 1915 oct. could this be any connection to your family? Hi Bernard I would like to connect and find out just who we are . i do not have any thing about my father only a adoption papers and i would love to know if i have any more siblings. and i do know that social sec info siad that he passed in 2005 and his father was Ignace and mother was Pateria and step mom was Valeria brothersare Leo,John,Ignatius jr and his name is Walter some were born in missouri and they lived in michigan and Walter was suposed to have to florida. thats all i could find do you think that we are on the right track.thank you Pat

Hi how are you Thank you for ans the web >to start on my baptism papers my fathers full name was spelled (Ladisaus Krzyzewski) and my Birth cert was Walter Czyzewski he was 20 and born in St Louis,Missouri as he worked for ford moter co in Detroit Mich his birthday was oct 20 1915 and last residence was Hernando Florida.he lived in Michigan when i was born in 1935. he passed in may 18 2007 his fathers name was Ignace and mother Pateria and after she passed he remarried Valeria. walter had a brother name Leo,and John and Ignatius jr. thank you if you feel that this is a match please let me know.thank you again . Hi I was born to Walter b Czyzewski or in some records asmy fathers name in my birth cert is spelled as Ladislaus Krzyzewski being confused about the birth and adoption records with name . if you could help me that would be great .My Mothers name is Wanda P Klimkowski I was born July 25 1935 michigan. thank you for any help you give i would love to know if i have any siblings out there.i do have a picture of him a wedding pict. I might be heading back east, also, for a class reunion. Of course, I don't really care about the reunion, but it's a good excuse to meet up and pick some relatives brains for more info. :)

By the way, I've found Joseph Motyka's Naturalization Application, it was labeled for Joseph Motyko. He spells Kazmeria as Casmira on the document and mentions that he came to America on 17 Sept 1906(?). But I haven't had any luck finding his initial passenger listing. I tried looking for Kazmeria's application, but with so many spellings of her name, it's very difficult.

Thanks for the info. Have you had any more luck getting ahold of ...your husband's aunt? Unfortunately, my aunts are slow to respond, and Eric's (Joseph's son)sister is very hard to get ahold of.

I've been thinking of putting together a reunion of the descendants for Motyka. Do you think you and your husband's relatives would be interested? Where is your part of the family at again?

Just a quick up-date. I found Thomas. His name was misspelled, he came to United States on June 1, 1910 with his daughter Eugenia. His name was spelled Tomase Ayrenski(the Czy looked like a capital "A").He is listed in the Phildalphia Passenger Lists, 1800-1945 He was taking Eugenia and going to live with Josef Motyka.Marja came a year later in 1911,also to live with Josef and Kazimiera. She returned to Poland in 1922 with Eugenjia, who stayed there until 1937, she and her husband saw each other about four times over the 15 year span.Hope you can you the infor. Anita

Hi my name is Jennifer Smith maiden name Czyzewski. I am related to the St.Louis, Missouri Czyzewski's. I am pretty sure my great grandmother and her husband came from Poland and one from Germany. I'm looking for information on Mary & Thomas Czyzewski from Poland, born 1859/1855 respectively. I've heard Thomas died before Mary came to America, about 1910. They had at least 3 children, Kazimiera, Michael, and Eugenia.
