I don't have anything other than oral history, except a copy of a handwritten note. It is a note written by the niece of Mary Phagan, who was raped and murdered in Atlanta in the early 1900's. Her boss, Leo Frank, was accused of the crime. Tried, sentenced and then abducted from prison and lynched in Marietta. A PBS special on this will come out later this summmer. Anyway, the lynchers were high ranking citizens of Marietta and Georgia--one was a former governor. Mary Phagan's niece kept a list of people that were involved. On this note she stated that Mary (Mc)Kinney was the mother of William McKinney (deputy sheriff who was involved) and brother to the 2 Dobbs men it also lists. I have that at home and could use that. I'm just not sure that she is correct about the relationships--the names in the Bible records don't match up. I think it more likely that they are cousins! Other than the knowledge of the Dabbs family history and that of her name on the headstone, I have nothing.
