I have a ancestor named Patience who I believe was one time owned by Abner Dabbs. At her death she was Patience Gray, and was also owned by Elijah Gray...On her son's death certificate, her maiden named was Dabbs. The only (Dabbs) slave owner in Greene County around 1840 was Mr. Abner Dabbs. I would appreciate any information a descendant might have about any of his slaves that might have been willed to another family member or named in any probate records. Thank you!
