Hello Ken
I am desended from a William Dabson who lived and died (stoke 1807)He Seems to have been involved with the church as his name appears on a great number of wedding entries in the parish records.between 1775 and 1807.Prior to this a James Dabson was also involved with the church,he died in 1775,i cannot prove a relationship between these two but it does seem likely.Clutching at straws really, any pointers appreciated.

The seasons best wishes Darryl Rush.

Hi Fionaje,

A couple of years back I traced the Dabson family tree for my daughters school project. The names you mention below rang a few bells. My Great Grandfather was Thomas Dabson and I'm sure his parents were Jesse and Fanny. I'll dig out the details and post them on here. Give me a couple of weeks though.

Dave.

I am looking for Dabson family. Frances Dabson was my great grandmother 1880 - 1935(?) - died of TB. She had a son David (b1903) before she married James Coussens in 1905. We think he was adopted but do not have the details. Her parents were Thomas Dabson (b1858) and Alice Dabson (b1856). Thomas' parents were Jesse Dabson (b1799) and Fanny Dabson (b1809). I believe the family were originally from Kent although my grandfather George Coussens was born in Hastings, Sussex in 1907.

Re: Dabson Name

Researching my grandfather's family-Norman Phelps Mason, b1893, Birmingham, AL; father James N Mason, mother Zulia Allen. Should have had a brother Walter prior to 1900; Norman lives with Charles & Annie Allen in Walker Co, GA in 1900; cannot find James until 1920 in Baltimore, MD; Norman said his mother "left". All my mother's siblings and she are deceased; we have struck out. Found a 24 year old Walter Mason living in 1924 census, Jefferson Co, Birmingham, Al living with Dabson, William and Elizabeth. He is listed as grandson. Could this be any relation? Thanks.
