My GGGrandfather, Charles Cone Deasy, was born around 1832 in County Cork. He named his first son James Edward. He and his wife, Bridget Dooley, came to US in 1849 where James was either born (on the waters or in New Jersey). They lived in outside Trenton for awhile before heading south.
His mother wrote him a letter in 1870 and in it she says "James is still working in pottery. He has bought more protery. He has bought a nice little house right next to his father and Hugh has bought next to James."
We have no idea what HER name was (My GGGgrandmother). Does any of this sound like any of your names?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks!
Steve Deasy
