Dacks of Co. Wicklow, Ireland

I'm researching the Dacks of Ireland.
My ancestor is Willaim Dack, b ca 1760, m Jane Code (Coad) b ca 1765, ca 1790. Jane's parents were George b 1733 and Rachel b 1738. William's father; Matthew b ca 1734. Some records exist at the Aghold Church, near Shillelagh. Their children were born in and around Boley, Aghold, or maybe even in Dublin.
They came to Canada, best we can figure, on the ship "Majestic" out of Belfast, ca 1817.
Happy to share what I know and would love to hear any other information.

DACK siblings marrying BURDICK siblings in London?

Hi,
I see mention of Norfolk in the postings so thought I'd add this.
Interested in descendants of William Herbert DACK born c 1870 Stepney and Ethel Jane DACK born c 1872 Beverley Yorkshire.
I believe, but have not yet fully confirmed, that they married siblings Beatrice Ellen BURDICK (reg. Romford, Essex Sep qtr 1896) and Arthur George (or George Arthur M) BURDICK (reg. Middlesex Sep qtr 1896).
I think William and Ethel are siblings, the children of William DACK and Margaret someone or other.
In 1881 William and Margaret along with William and Ethel, as well as an Alice, Ellen and John, are in Poplar London, and William Snr is shown as 43 foreman builder, born Mattinhall, Norfolk.
I'm not that interested in ancestors, only descendants.
So far I've only found Ethel in 1901, shown as married, BURDICK, with two children Dorothy and Stanley, but no sign of Arthur

Regards,
Lorna
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hendersonandandrews...

Help wanted please in finding any information on my grandmother who died eleanor dack in 1942 and i was led to believe was born eleanor craig lumsden in 1912 but i can not find any record of her birth. She lived in newcastle upon tyne and had 4 children that i know of 2 called joyce and derek lumsden and then a jean and john dack. Apparantly she married a john dack but she died aged 30 so the dack children would have been very young as my father derek was only 7 at that time. John dack her husband was posted away somewhere when she died and had to get leave. The dack and lumsden children were then brought up by thier grandmother elizabeth craig and no one knows what happened to john dack.
If this means anything to anyone at all please get in touch druceali@aol.com
The unknown Agnes has long plagued me.
I have quite a bit of information on Dack, Dache's,etc and Code, Dodds, Reilly, Anderson,
Gibson, Morris, McMorris, etc.-. BUT unfortunately am unable to link it to my John Dack. If you will E-mail me directly, I will try to summarize what I think might be significant.
Dacks

My Dacks are from County Wicklow Ireland. From there to Canada, to Illinois, West with the Mormons to Salt Lake City, then to Montana (Three Forks), then back down the Missouri to Northwest Missouri (my great grandfather)

The original was William Dack.

My great grandfather's father died in Iowa, on the way to Utah and my great grandfather was the only son, so the Dack name from that branch ended up back in Missouri. However, some of the daughters families went on to California.

If anyone is interested, I can supply details.

Dack-Billing connection

Am searching for the wife of Charles Stuart Billing b.1853 in Valcartier, Quebec. I think that her name might have been Janet Dack. What I do know is that Charles had a son ( John MacDonald Billing b.1894 in Markham, Quebec) who had a grandmother Emily Dack who came from Ireland. Any information will be much appreciated and will be happy to share. what I have on the lines Billing, Wolff, and Abraham that are related. Thanks Roy roycarm@erols.com
