I am looking for anyone who knows of the whereabouts of the family of Blanche Da Costa. Her parents were Albert R. and Dora D. Her brothers were Dr. Albert R., Robert C. and Harold F.
I know she was an opera star during the 1915-1940 time frame. That she married Warren C. Whitney on 12/25/1918 in New York. That she lived in Illinois, NY and Denver, Colorado.
I am not a relative but know of some documentation(found in the attic of an old home)which documents her career from 1917 until 1937 and would like to see that her family gets the information back.
Any help locating this family would be appreciated.

I'd like to find out more about Fred Dacosta, my great grandfather who was born in London in 1839. He married Helena (or Eleanor) Barrett and had four children, Helena, James, Frederick Alfred and (my grandmother) Amy Alice Dacosta. He was living in Bethnal Green in 1901 but I don't know what happened afterwards to him or to the first two children. I know Frederick Alfred was killed in 1917 in the First World War and my grandmother died in 1949. Would love to hear anything further from others who might be connected to the family.

He was born in Couto, Portugal on 5 March 1891, and apparently died on Feb 28 1929 in Manhattan. I wonder if he has any living descendents in the USA. Did he ever become a naturalized American (he lived in NYC for about 10 years)?
