Working to track D'Acquisto's related to Lorenzo D'Acquisto, b.1863, Italy. Wife is Francesca Paola (Paula) Alamia also born in Italy in 1864. Other Surnames Longo, Graziosie, Lapari, Pelligrino, Baillet. Lorenzo was my grandfather, he arrived (1st time) in US 1884.

Attached 2 pictures (Left to Right): 1. Frank (10), Lorenzo (46) and Salvatore (7); 2. is the D'Acquisto family in 1943, Less Lorenzo who died 1936-1937

P... re: James D'A(c)quisto, there are 2 in my family... My uncle Vincent James, but went by James and his son, a famous guitar maker both from Long Island, NY. I realize your request was made 9 years ago and you probably have your answer, but I just joined Ancestry.com. I am Thomas W. D'Aquisto (65) son of Salvatore D'Acquisto who changed his name legally in the 1950's to John Salvatore D'Aquisto. This clan of D'Aquisto's hail from NYC, NY but are now spread out all over the country. I have created a family tree of D'Aquisto's on Ancestry.com, take a look to see if it helps you. Good Luck... Looking for information on Rose D'Aquisto married to Stefano Balsitreri, having a daughter Caterina Balsitreri who married a Pietro Sanfilippo. They had the following children;
Santo, Thomas (Guitano), Stefano, Salvator, Anthoney, Mary, Rose. I have linage of these children.
Caterina and Pietro immigrated to US early 1900's and settled in Brooklyn NY. They owned a Fish and fruit market.
Any info on the D'Aquisto Line would be appreciated, also the Balsitreri Line.
