Hi!

My fathers name is Antonio DAddio and he is from a place called Maddaloni wich is outside of Napoli, He now live in sweden. But my grandpa still lives there Pancracio DAddio. There is a wholr lot of Daddio´s still living there i hav about 10 relatives named DAddio still alive.

Looking for information on Vincenza Daddio, who came to American on 22 Aug 1902, on the ship Perugia departing from Naples, Italy. Traveling with her was her son Domenico Esposito and the family of Nichol DeMarco, his son Michele DeMarco and his daughter M Carmela DeMarco. Upon on arrival in the Port of New York they went to live with Pellegrino D'Addio, on Morris Avenue in the Bronx, NY.
Vincenza was born in Santa Maria A Vico, Caserto, Italy, born about 1874.
Any help greatly appreciated.

My paternal grandmother came to the U.S. from around Naples. Her name was Maddalena, I think. She married Anthony Tufano and had one son born in Brooklyn in 1907-08.
At some point they moved to Chicago and settled in the "little Italy" neighborhood around Taylor Street. Three more children were born I believe in Chicago: Theresa, Antonnitte, Charles. My grandmother died in 1942 at age 52 which would make her birth year about 1890. I cannot find any record of her. I don't know if she came with any siblings or just her husband, my grandfather Anthony. According to my father's stories the Tufano family held high positions in civil government in Naples. They had been a weathly family but at the time of the marriage they had little money. Maddelena (sp?) family were storekeepers. That is all I know. Hopefully, we have some connection. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.

My family name is Di Pierro from the village of Santa Maria A Vico, Italy. My fathers first cousin was named Guiseppe Daddio. Guiseppe came from Santa Maria A Vico around 1955 and settled in North Bergen NJ and later moved to Cliffside PK NJ. Guiseppe passed away several years ago, but his wife Anna and 3 of his sons and their families reside in Bergen County.
I don't know of a connection with your family but would be interested to hear your comments.
I am also doing a family tree project and would be happy to share any info if there is a connection.

Daddio/Deddeo/Daddeo orTaddio?

I am researching information on a Daddio family that arrived from Basillacata Italia between 1896-1902. the first one I am researching is a Tiresa Divonna who may have been known as a Ma Tiresa Taddio Divonna. According to the Ellis Island web-site she arrived here in July 1896 with a one year old named Felicia.

It is believed if this is her, she lived at 337 E 11 Street off of first Avenue in NYC, and may have been married to a Alfredo Cirigliano. Now what the problem is here is they are all listed in calvary cemetery, in woodside NY as Deddeo or Daddeo not Taddio or Daddio, and Carmela arrived here in 1902, with her brother Giuseppe, who they have listed as Vincenzo. Giuseppe served in World War 1 and died somewhere around 1924, Teresa Divone would die on November 20, 1932 at age 59. are these the same people. Carmela would marry an Antonio Didonato in 1946, and may have married under the name of Bastoria as her maiden name. what records do we have of these people. Millie died on March 30, 1970, and her husband Antonio died on May 7, 1973

My grandfather came from a town called Durazzano. On Long Island people from a town in Italy usually settled in the same town on the Island. Westbury Long Island has a high number of people from Durazzano.

My family came from a region called Basilicata, Italy, as I said before the name was also spelled Daddeo. a lot of these relatives are buried in Calvary Cemetery in Queens.As, well as the Divone family. I am using an alias,do to the fact I have certain individuals who look into my e-mail. I am not Jewish but I have been involved with Messianic Ministries.

I use to be a song leader in Beth Shalom Messianic Congregation in Midwood Brooklyn. And also did Messianic Ministries,in Brighton Beach witnessing to the Jews and Russsians. I do have Jewish people in my family however, but I myself may possibly be Austrian and Italian. I want to thank you for writing me again and I am trying to start a Messianic Ministry in Staten Island, so if you know anyone interested in teaching or ministering let me know. i don't think my daddios are related to your grandmother. My grandfather Guiseppe Daddio came from a town in naples called Santa Maria a Vico in the early 1920's. He settled in the Bronx where a few of my cousins still live .I too am an italian jew (yehudit) and Messianic.
I was told by my uncle that the name was originally spelled D' Addio
and the meaning is .. "from God ", (but aren't we all ! )

The name Yakov is the jewish name for James, and I am related to these people because Carmela Deddeo is my Grandmother, my mother's maiden was Buonpastore. I was born in Bellvue Hospital and I am Italian, and I lived ion Houston Street. So, if you know who I am. Then you know who I am looking for .

Hi Richard, I've been working on our genealogy and came across the Daddio Family Tree. My husband, James Dade is the son of Vincenzo Daddio from Sannitico, Campania, Italy (Naples area). Vincenzo was only three months old when he and his parents Angiolina and Carmine arrived at Ellis Island, April 10, 1911.

We're very excited about finding other members of the Daddio family and look forward to hearing from you.

My grandfather Joseph Daddio was also from a small town outside of Naples. He first settled in South River New Jersey and in the early 1900's settled in Westbury Long Island. He married Concetta Covino from Locust Valley Long Island and they had six children. My father Justin Daddio who passed away in 1975, his older brother James who passed away in 1955, two sisters Catherine who passed away in the 80's and Madeline Rocco who still resides in Westbury. A young brother Peter died at an early age and the remaining brother Carmine also resides in Westbury.

I would be interesed in contacting other Daddio family members from the Naples area.

i am looking for daddio's in the Philly and Williamsport Penn area. My grandfather joseph daddio was from naples and settled in Williamsport some time around the turn of the century. He died leaving 5 children as young as 2 yrs old. All 5 went into an orphanage outside Philly.
