Kayla,

Nice to hear from you!!

Let's see, the person who sent you that information on Jacob and family and the little name change?...Do you remember her name was Jenny, too...she lived in WA...and oh my gosh!

Its me! <grin>

(I know..Im a smart alec)

I changed my email address to the above but still have my old one at cezanne893. So, how are you?!! Its been a couple of years. Looks like you have been busy. Nice work.

Still a little confused. 1900 Census stated (best of their knowledge) their naturalization was in 1872. I think that was immigration and what you have stated and dug up, I would further believe it to be such.

Good work on the those papers!!! I have not seen those and would love to! (smart alec comments get you far on the favors, don't you know....) I hooked up with a branch of Rosa DAETWEILER's family. J. SHARP and I gave him your email address. Good man to know. He had pics of Rosa, too!

HOH: Casper DAETWEILER, age 30, b. Mar 1870, b. SWITZ, married 9 years
Maggie DAETWEILER, age 27, b. Aug 1872, b. KS, married 9 yrs, wife to HOH, 3 of 3 children currently living
Mabel DAETWEILER, age 6, b. Dec 1893 in KS, daughter
Lilly DAETWEILER, age 4, b. Nov 1895 in KS, daughter
Milton DAETWEILER, age 2, b. Jul 1897 in KS, son
Elizabeth DAETWEILER, 69, b. Jun 1830 in SWITZ, mother to HOH, m. 50 yrs, 12 of 14 children currently living
Jacob DAETWEILER, age 71, b. Mar 1829 in SWITZ, father to HOH

The 1880 and 1885 census matches both Elizabeth's and Jacob's birth months/years.

Note also, the date of the census enumeration was 8 Jun 1900 although, it stated living or deceased that were living in household as of 1 Jun 1900. Jacob died a day later on the second, so he was enumerated. His death place would be Logan, Dickinson Co., KS. I just noticed that....

By the way, you are missing some of the kids. 1900 census says 12 of 14 living (can send the image if you do not have it...)

Louisa (my Gr Gr Grandmother)
Bertha
Jacob (son of Jacob)
John Trygut
Emma
Maria Lina (died in SW as a child)
Gottfried (Fred)
Otto
Adolph "Edward"
Henry F.
Lena
Casper (Kasper)
Ludwig (Lewis or Louis)
and Rosa

Yikes...and I thought four was a handful.

Send me an email and I can send you census images and other stuff...if you need them.

Looking forward...
~Jenny
