Thomas Dagley was baptised on 19th October 1777 at Alrewas, Staffordshire. He later moved to Derby and made his fortune in road carriage manufacture with his son in law Henry Smith. Dagley & Smith made some of the first railway carriages for the Midland Railway. Does anyone know anything about this company of family?
