Hello, My grandfathers name was William Dahler. He was born in New York, married Frances Grimmig. His father was August Dahler from Bern Switzerlan. He (William) had 3 daughters (my mom being one) Elizabeth Helen, Ruth Adelaide, Norma Margaret. They became Elizabeth Uryase, Ruth Lyons, Norma Meyers. If you would like more info write me.
August Dahler came to Connecticut via New York, Ellis Island. I have the records from the ship. My grandfather moved to Meriden from New York. August came over and stayed with my grandparents until his death.
